Distimo Adds App Stat Coverage for BlackBerry and Ovi

App store analytics provider Distimo has increased the scope of its free Distimo Monitor tool to provide additional support for BlackBerry App World and Nokia Ovi Store writes Martin Conway. Distimo Monitor currently also supports Google Android Market and the Apple App Store. Distimo says it plans to add support for further app stores in the near future.

The Distimo Monitor tool collects statistics from app stores, relating to total daily downloads, revenues and global rankings of applications, and produces these on a comprehensive dashboard, enabling app developers to use the data to adjust pricing and tinker with distribution channels where necessary, in order to boost their growth and revenue streams. To simplify the process, no code insertion is required in the developer’s app, and Distimo Monitor can be accessed on any touch-enabled device.

Vincent Hoogsteder, Distimo CEO and co-founder, believes that the overcrowded and cut-throat nature of the current apps market means that developers need to keep abreast of trends within their target markets. He comments: “The mobile application store is burgeoning and the continued introduction of even more app stores means it will grow even more fragmented and competitive for developers who wish to distribute their apps in multiple stores. It is rapidly becoming more challenging for mobile developers to understand the best marketplaces and ways to distribute their products and services to mobile consumers. Distimo Monitor removes all of the manual reporting work required with distributing an application in multiple app stores.”
