Dominos Delivers App to Windows Phone 7

Domino’s Pizza has launched an ordering app for Windows Phone 7, created by Vexed Digital. The app enables customers to enter their postcode, select their nearest store, and make a customised order. The app joins Domino’s existing mobile channels, including iPhone, iPad and Android apps, as well as a mobile-optimised site.

“Mobile and online purchase account for a growing proportion of our sales, so it’s vital we continue to develop innovative new ways to ensure customers can order whenever and wherever they are, using the methods most appropriate to them,” says Simon Wallis, sales and marketing director for Domino’s. “We have achieved fantastic success with our existing mobile apps to date and, based on mobile trends and the comments we’ve received from Facebook fans, WP7 was the next on our list. Our WP7 app provides a great opportunity for us to reach a new audience of mobile users and just in time for the launch of some more exciting new Nokia handsets too.”

Mobile orders currently account for 13 per cent of all Domino’s eCommerce sales, and the company says this app represents its continuing investment in mCommerce.
