Music app doubleTwist has launched Magic Radio, a service that delivers a personalised radio station based on the users existing music library.
Users can also create stations based on a mood, genre, or keyword – for example, Woodstock or Brazilian music.
“The magic in Magic Radio is that it mixes the music you already love the with music you are going to love, chosen from a library of over 13m songs,” said Jon Lech Johansen, co-founder and CEO of doubleTwist. “We think your music taste, and not just a single artist or song, should be the basis for discovering new music.”
The Magic Radio feature is currently only available to US users, at the price of $3.99 a month.
The doubleTwist app has been installed on 10m Android devices – its worth noting that this number isnt downloads, however, as it includes a number of tie-ins with manufacturers and operators which pre-install the app on their handsets.
