Easier Amazon on Your Phone

Mobile Internet application developer Moonlight Mobile  is to launch a mobile shopping assistant for Amazon that will be available for all of Amazons country sites, and work on around 130 Java-enabled handsets.
Price Check for Amazon will launch in April, enabling users to browse the Amazon site, and check prices, availability, postage and buyer product ratings. At the press of a button, users can add any item to their shopping basket or to their wishlist for future purchase.
Users pay a small one-off fee to download the application, then register with an email address and, if they have one, a Skype address. When the user hits the Checkout button, an email is sent to their inbox from the Amazon Checkout page, to conclude the transaction from their desktop. The inclusion of Skype enables the system to remind the user of any incomplete transactions, via a Skype Message, using Presence.
Independent research has revealed that shoppers browsing in store, often call friends or family to check price, availability and postage on Amazon before making their purchase says Jonathan Sendzul, CEO of Moonlight Mobile. Now, users can go the whole way and not only check prices, but compare all of the important information for each product before adding the item to their Shopping Basket and checking out
Last year, Moonlight launched its Mobile Auctions! Programme for eBay, which, the company says, has seen users increase their eBay shopping 5-fold.
