Ebay Has a Hunch its Users are Early Adopters

eBay users are 61 per cent more likely to be early adopters of technology, according to research from Hunch. The survey, of more than 70,000 users, found that eBay customers are 48 per cent more likely to buy music in the form of MP3s – while non-eBay users are 90 per cent more likely to buy music in store, on CDs – and are more likely to use Twitter.

Data analysis firm Hunch – which was acquired by eBay in November 2011 – uses prediction technology to generate recommendations for its customers.
