EE Bringing 4G to Glastonbury

Mobile network EE has signed up to become the official technology and communications partner of the 2013 Glastonbury Festival.

Through the partnership, EE will install a dedicated 4G network at the festival site, the first time this has been done in the UK, and help develop the official Glastonbury app, which will be available from early June, just ahead of the festival.

The free app will include performance scheduling tools and location-based mapping for users attending the festival, and continuously updated content for those at home.

On site, there will be EE Recharge tents to enable festivalgoers to charge their handsets for free, as well as offering wi-fi powered by EEs 4G network.
