Over the coming days, we'll be looking at some of last year's winners in some of the most popular categories and why they won – plus, letting you know how each category has changed for this year's awards, and how you can enter.
Last year's winner
Taking home Most Effective Mobile Travel & Tourism Solution at 2013's Awards was the MyThomson app, created for TUI Travel by AKQA, Aditi Technologies and Creator.
What the judges liked about MyThomson was the way it extended the relationship between travel agent and customer, from the moment they book their holiday through to the moment it begins. It offers information on the resort, hotel, flights, weather and excursions, plus a ‘days to your holiday’ countdown timer, currency converter, and To Do and My Packing lists. The download and usage stats, which were for judges’ eyes only, were impressive too.
This year the category has been renamed the 'Most Effective Travel & Tourism Campaign or Solution', widening the scope to include both complete solutions and individual campaigns.
We also have a whole section of the awards dedicated to individual verticals, including Most Effective Gambling Campaign or Solution, Most Effective Financial Campaign or Solution, Most Effective Retail Campaign or Solution, Most Effective Charity Campaign or Solution, and Most Effective Entertainment Campaign or Solution.
If you want to enter your campaign into any of these categories, then simply download the entry form here, and return a completed copy via email to [email protected] before the entry deadline, 5pm (UK time) on Friday 22 August 2014.
It costs £145 (+ VAT where applicable, depending which country you are in) to enter your first campaign or project – and it’s possible to submit it for consideration in as many categories as you think are relevant, at no extra cost. After the first entry, it costs just £55 (+ VAT where applicable) for each additional campaign or project. For more details, see the terms and conditions.
