Emap Turns to Opera

Publishing company Emap has partnered with mobile services provider Opera Telecom to launch a  range of interactive campaigns across some of its most famous consumer media and radio brands, including Heat, FHM, Magic and Kiss. The mobile campaigns are already helping Emap to increase interaction with its target audience, while driving new revenue streams across the entire Emap portfolio.
Opera Telecoms Dragon self-service mobile platform is being used to drive Emaps interactive campaigns, enabling the company to self-provision and build virtually any mobile application. The Dragon platform is scaleable and is able to handle many hundreds  of messages per second, per connection, and many hundreds of connections.
Campaigns currently being run by Emap include competitions and voting services, such as High Street Honeys and Top 100 Sexiest girls for FHM; Miss Great Britain for Zoo; and a Text to Win CD offer for Kiss FM.
In todays media environment, the challenge is to cut through all the noise says Emap Mobile Marketing Manager Louis Kingston. We are passionate about our brands and we pride ourselves on having an intrinsic understanding of our customers behaviour. Now more than ever, interactive services play an important role in helping us keep in touch with our target audience, while also generating new revenue streams across our portfolio. The new campaigns we are running with Opera are already proving to be very successful and we expect further growth in this area moving forward.
Emap and Opera have worked together on several occasions before. Kingston says that Opera won this task because they once again showed us they have the ability and experience to give us the proactive level of service that we need.
