Facebook Home Hits Half a Million Downloads

Facebook Home has passed the 500,000 download mark, just over a week after its initial launch.
The Android launcher app was first released in the US on 12 April, before rolling out globally on 16 April.
By comparison, the Android launch of Instagram passed 1m downloads, twice the amount, in just 24 hours. However, its worth noting that Home is currently only available on selected HTC and Samsung devices, which skews the figures somewhat.
Nevertheless, the app hasnt been especially well received, with with its rating on Google Play having dropping yet further since we reported on it last week, down to 2.2 stars out of five.
