As LinkedIn continues its transformation into the Facebook for business, Facebook itself seems to have decided to go in the opposite direction and begin mimicking the professional social network.
The social network is currently testing a CV/resume feature, with some users in the US, that enables users to share their work experience and education history in a dedicated section away from the rest of the user’s ‘about’ information.
According to screenshots of the feature sent to The Next Web, the information laid out in the section won’t appear on a public profile, meaning Facebook could be looking to create an entirely separate section on its platform dedicated to job hunters and employers seeking new additions to their teams.
“At Facebook, we’re always building and testing new products and services. We’re currently testing a work histories feature to continue to help people find and businesses hire for jobs on Facebook,” a Facebook spokesperson confirmed.
