Facebook has launched the Facebook for Every Phone app, which it says offers a fast and comprehensive Facebook experience on over 2,500 different phones. The app includes Facebook’s most popular features, such as News Feed, Inbox, and Photos, and enables users to upload photos and find friends from their phone’s contacts.
Facebook is offering free data access to the app with a number of operators worldwide, including 3 in the UK, for six months. The company adds that the app is optimised to use less data than other Java apps or mobile sites, making it more affordable for people to use when the free period ends.
You can download the app from m.facebook.com or by entering d.facebook.com/install directly into your mobile browser. The app is also available in app stores, including GetJar, Appia, and Mobile Weaver.
