FancyFon Unveils FAMOC for Blackberry

FancyFon has launched the FAMOC (FancyFon Mobility Center) application for BlackBerry devices.  The FAMOC application is now compatible with BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 5.0, and also provides full support for BlackBerry Internet Service users.
FancyFon has provided remote support for BlackBerry users since February 2009, empowering mobile operators and enterprise customers to manage BlackBerry Smartphone deployments remotely, regardless of whether they are connected to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server or on BlackBerry Internet Service. This is done by enabling access to end users phone screens, keyboards, applications and files via over-the-air diagnostic tools.
FAMOC simplifies the process of moving user data from multiple platform handsets to BlackBerry smartphones, enabling the centralized management of corporate handsets, regardless of operating system and manufacturer. FAMOC empowers organizations to remotely install any application, wipe a device and SD card, or create and roll out new functionality to the BlackBerry smartphone fleet, from a single common FAMOC console or via multiple BlackBerry Enterprise Servers. The solution also enables enterprises to back up and restore BlackBerry contacts, calendar information and other defined data and files, over the air, at the initiation of the user or an administrator.
Many corporate customers operate on one or more mobile platforms, which is complex and time consuming to manage, says FancyFon COO, Dietmar Fuchs. FancyFons ability to provide a single point of control over multiple BlackBerry Enterprise Servers and other mobile platforms radically simplifies the management of a mobile device fleet which leads to impressive cost savings for FAMOC customers.
