Mobile ticketing, couponing and marketing firm Trinity Mobile has revealed that it is enabling UK festival organisers to sell tens of thousands of tickets through its mobile ticketing platform to ease the ticketing process and minimise fraud by virtually eliminating the number of fake tickets presented on the day of the show.
Leading events across the UK will use Trinity Mobiles Easy Ticket technology to enable concertgoers to receive tickets on their mobile phones, and will allow festival organisers to make use of the data generated from the ticket sales to promote future events to fans.
Trinity Mobile will be involved in a variety of shows including the Detonate Indoor Music Festival on 2nd May 2010 at Rock City, Stealth and The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham. The event is expected to attract over 5,000 fans from all over the UK, Europe and the world, and is one of the biggest Drum and Bass (D&B) concerts of the year.
More and more people are attending our events and it is imperative that we sell tickets as quickly and efficiently as possible, without having to issue thousands of paper tickets or worry about counterfeit passes, says D James Busby, Head of Detonate Productions, and a convert to Trinity Mobiles ticketing process. Trinity Mobile has been a reliable partner over the years, providing a complete end-to-end ticketing service for past events.
Trinity Mobile will also handle the ticketing process for other festivals, including Nottingham Universitys planned October 2010 festival, a major tented festival expected to attract over 10,000 people. The companys biggest festival to date was West Fest in 2009, a music event held at the Bath and West Show Grounds near Bath in Somerset. Powered by Trinity Mobile, tickets were sold in advance through the organisers web site and through individual outlets and other distributors. Of the 12,500 tickets sold, over 80% were mobile tickets that came through the Trinity system.
What used to be the worst part of setting up the event became the easiest and most stress-free element of the show, says West Fest Manager, James Orfeur. I didnt have to spend all my time dealing with paper ticketing issues and eliminated all of our problems with fraudulent tickets. We reported zero bogus tickets at the 2009 show via mobile handsets. This is a remarkable achievement, and one that we will repeatedly achieve now that all of our future shows will incorporate Trinity Mobiles ticketing process.
