Mozilla has unveiled the first two handsets which will run its open source HTML5-based Firefox OS – the Keon and Peak, manufactured by Geeksphone.
The Keon – the handset with the distinctive orange casing – is the smaller of the two, with a 3.5″ display, powered by a single-core 1GHz processor, and 512MB of RAM. The Peak is larger and more powerful, with a 4.3″ display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and 512MB RAM.
As you might expect from Mozillas open approach to the OS, both devices come unlocked as standard, ready to accept any SIM card, and have a microSD card slot for expanding the storage.
