First UK Launches mTicketing

FIRST_TICKET_APP_068First UK, which runs around 20 per cent of the UKs bus services, has launched a mobile ticketing solution.

The First UK Android and iOS app will be rolled out over the course of 2014, serving 40 cities and towns including Aberdeen and Worcester.

2.3m passengers travel with the bus provider every single day and its hoped mobile ticketing will speed up the service and help those that dont carry change.

The mTicketing platform is provided by CoreThree, which already supplies these services to the likes of Lothian Bus and Wessex Bus.
