Fitbit Integrates VirZoom, Peloton and Habit

Fitbit LogoFitness tech company Fitbit has announced partnerships with VR exercise bike creators VirZoom, indoor bike studio class creator Peloton, and nutrition solution Habit – after all joined its ‘Works with Fitbit’ program. ‘Works with Fitbit’ enables developers, brands and Fitbit users to connect the Fitbit platform to health and wellness aps, services and hardware products.

The partnership with VirZoom delivers a gamified approach to users’ health and fitness goals, along with logging each exercise in the in the Fitbit app and tracking the exerciser’s heart rate – should they be wearing a Fitbit device. The Peloton pairing works in exactly the same way, minus the VR.

Habit joining means that, by sharing their Fitbit data, people will receive daily nutrition suggestions. Weight, body fat percentage and calories burned are stored in the Fitbit app, along with health goals and other important fitness related data. Fitbit and Habit hope to expand this to include additional data, such as sleep stats.

Tim Rosa, SVP and CMO at Fitbit, said: “We embrace new partnerships with brands that share our goal of creating experiences that enable people to lead a healthier, more active lifestyle and we are always looking for fun, innovative ways to keep our community engaged and motivated on their health and fitness journey.”
