Mobile entertainment publisher Ozura Mobile has announced plans to launch five new games in the first quarter of 2007. The titles are: R.A.T.S (Rodent Assault Tactical Squad); Lawak Kampus; Antopia: The Beginning; Peng the Guin; and Hello Kitty: Birthday Surprise.
Ozura creates games for mobile phones based on J2ME, BREW or the Symbian platform. Ozura says it expects the number of phones supporting these platforms to exceed 1 billion units worldwide in 2008. Ozuras games are available all over the world through the companys distribution network of thousands of partners, across 130 countries.
As the mobile gaming industry gradually matures, so do the tastes of mobile gamers says Ozura Vice President of Marketing, H.E Mah. While Snakes used to be a sufficient benchmark for mobile games in the past, gamers nowadays have more elaborate and demanding needs in terms of game play. More eye candy, more character or storyline development and simple yet challenging fun on the go is the name of the game in these new times. Game appreciation and standards grow and change accordingly with the gradual maturation of the industry. We have taken the initiative as the year end approaches, to change the style of our games to cater to this growing need for better games.
