Foamstars shifts to free-to-play mode

Square Enix has revealed that its four-vs-four shooter, Foamstars, will transition to a free-to-play model.
According to the publisher’s support website, this shift will take effect on October 4, 2024.
Starting from this date, a PlayStation Plus subscription will no longer be required to play the game. 
Players who purchased Foamstars before the transition will receive a gift bundle that includes exclusive in-game items, with more details to be provided later.
Some of these gifts include 12 exclusive colour-variant Bubble Beastie skins, one exclusive Slide Board design, and a title: “Legacy.”
