FocusVision Adds Mobile to Research Offering

Market research video company FocusVision Worldwide has launched a mobile streaming platform.

The company, which supplies live video transmission and analysis for the market research sector, says its Mobile Streaming-Live product offers all the same functionality as its flagship VideoStreaming solution.

“We saw it as the next phase in the evolution of qualitative research observation,” says Ariel Kunar, FocusVisions COO. “First, we enabled remote observation from anywhere users could plug into the internet. Now we want to enable observation wherever users are. The proliferation of mobile devices (phones and tablet PCs) with 3G and 4G networks has made that possible.”

The software includes the companys VideoMarker software, which allows researchers to place and sync marks in video research material, as well as live chat. However phone screens will be limited to video only, so as not to cram the smaller screen with too much information. Customers on all devices can pause a live stream and rewind to review portions they may have missed.

“Mobile device streaming is a nice complement to our core offering,” says Eric Grosgogeat, CEO of FocusVision Worldwide. “Our clients are thrilled by the new development and are even willing to pay a small up-charge for this added flexibility.”
