Digital Foodie has launched a set of Tablet-based shopkeeper tools, as part of its Foodie.fm personalised social shopping platform for groceries. Foodie.fm is built around a recipe and product recommendation engine, as well as a store feedback and rating module.
The Tablet tools are intended to help retailers move away from printouts and spreadsheets, so that orders can be viewed and modified in real time, and drivers can communicate with store staff and customers directly.
Digital Foodie is based in Finland, where it has partnered with S Group, which has a 45 per cent market share in the country.
“Retail industry is undergoing a major transformation. Consumers demand transparency and personalisation like never before,” says Kalle Koutajoki, CEO of Digital Foodie. “The results we’ve achieved with S Group show that answering these needs clearly improves sales. We increased S Group’s online sales by 15 per cent when transforming operations from traditional store to Foodie-powered online store.”
In the UK, Foodie.fm is currently available in beta.
