Low-cost overseas SIM card distributor GeoSim has appointed Txtlocal to deliver its Text2TopUp service, which enables registered GeoSim card users to add credit to their GeoSim card anywhere in the world by simply sending a text to a Txtlocal-dedicated inbound number.
Users of GeoSim text: Topup + 5 (or other amount) to 07786 202559. A PIN code is then sent to the customers handset which they must reply with in order to activate the download. Once activated, credits are automatically downloaded onto the customers handset.
The advantage of the GeoSim global SIM card is that it significantly reduces mobile phone charges when roaming overseas. Users of the service replace their everyday SIM card with the GeoSim and pay less when they make or receive overseas calls.GeoSim says the service is very popular with all overseas travellers, but is particularly useful to anyone off the beaten track such as mountaineers, yachtsmen, and seafarers, who require a simple solution to add credit to their phones.
