OK, so the Brits may have messed up in the Tour de France, but we can have our own fun on a bike, and we’d love you to be part of it. On 5 September, we’ll be riding up (boo) and down (yay) the Surrey Hills, in the interests of networking, charity and general exercise. Oh and let’s not forget having fun. What better way to burn off some of the fat built up on the beach over the summer.
Here’s the deal. You fetch up at Epsom Rugby Club at 8 in the morning for breakfast. The pedalling starts at 9. There are two routes, a hilly 70-miler, and a flatter 35-miler. Either way you get breakfast, lunch, mechanics, medics, signposts, and a barbecue and a beer to finish up, around 4pm. There’s also a morning cake break for the 70-milers and an afternoon cake stop for both, plus fruit and water in the support vehicles that will be patrolling the route.
Every rider also gets their own personalised event shirt, and there are digital maps in the form of a .gpx file for mobile navigation devices, and customised waterproof route maps including directions, pitstops and information on points of interest along the route.
It promises to be a great day and we welcome entries from individual riders or company teams. We guarantee youll have fun, meet new people and maybe even end up doing business off the back of it. The entry fee is just £120, including everything detailed above. Click here for more information and to sign up today.
