gett veuve clicquotLast week we told you about Xiaomi partnering with Uber in Singapore and Malaysia to deliver smartphones. Now, taxi booking app Gett has teamed up with champagne brand Veuve Clicquot to enable Londoners to get their hands on a bottle of chilled bubbly in under 10 minutes.

The promotion will rely on Getts ordering infrastructure as the app expands to cover a new range of delivery services and products, and transform itself into a “global app for on-demand transportation”.

Users will be able to order a bottle of champagne, supplied by Amathus, between 4pm and 10pm every day which will be delivered within 10 minutes to customers in Shoreditch, Clerkenwell, the City, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Belgravia and Kensington.

Veuve Clicquot has been a premier champagne brand since 1772, and has helped establish and evolve the champagne industry. The brand recently launched the industrys first instant Champagne gifting app, for use in some of Londons top bars and restaurants.

“We are delighted to launch our first new vertical and to be partnering with prestigious brand, Veuve Clicquot, getting Londoners world-renowned champagne with a tap of the Gett app,” said Remo Gerber, UK CEO of Gett. “For the last five years, weve been moving customers around safely and now Gett Clicquot will use the same business model to bring this revolutionary new service to Londoners.”

“Veuve Clicquot is very excited to partner with Gett around Gett Clicquot,” said Jo Thornton, managing director of Moet Hennessy UK. “The innovative initiative continues to lead the path to deliver luxury convenience, on-demand, to discerning Londoners.”
