Hires Clash Group for Mobile Ad Task, which sends wrapped gifts from artisan producers from around the globe to the door, has appointed Clash Group to roll out mobile advertising campaign for its new social gifting app.

The campaign will use rich media, location-based and in-app ads to target audiences. It will incorporate mobile DSP, mobile retargeting technology and e-mail and will use Impact-Mobi, which Clash Group says is the worlds first global affiliate network dedicated to mobile. It aims to drive thousands of additional monthly app downloads from users who will drive long-term revenue by placing gift orders regularly going forward.

The app, available for download in more than 12 countries for users to send gifts to individuals based in the UK, has been designed for todays time-pressed mobile shopper, and can be enhanced by pulling in data such as friends birthdays from Facebook. With this in mind, the campaign will initially target young, female professionals and Facebook users. The transparent nature of results generated by Impact-Mobi, the mobile affiliate network, means Clash Group can continually optimise the campaign in terms of genre of affiliates and apps used to host the ads, to drive the highest-quality leads.

“We wanted to create a mobile ad campaign that would drive awareness and downloads from the right people” said Andrew Wilmot, CEO of “Clash Group stood out as the right agency to help us achieve this, because they could offer the full range of mobile advertising technologies and services to target the right individuals, as well as a pay-on-results-only contract.”
