App incentivising platform Gimmie has launched its beta program, in conjunction with 10 mobile app developers and 10 consumer product brands. Gimmie was created by Roy Liu, a former PopCap developer, and David Ng, previously of ChinaCache.

Gimmie focuses on in-game incentives that dont rely on distracting ads that force players out of the original app. Gimmie rewards users with points, earned through sustained app use, which can be redeeemed for physical products.

“Users love Gimmie because we give them the ability to shop for a reward of their choice,” says David Ng, CEO and co-founder of Gimmie. “As in traditional arcades, users not only have fun playing games, but also gain enjoyment in knowing they can choose a reward right away or save up for something even better in our rewards store.”
