Chain restaurant Giraffe has launched an iOS and Android app, with a focus on loyalty schemes.
The app, developed by Stampfeet, features a QR code scanner which enables users to collect stamps with each visit, towards two rewards – a free takeaway coffee and 50 per cent off food. More interestingly, it also enables users to gift and swap stamps with their friends via email.
The Giraffe app also features reservations functionality, powered by Live Res, location-based capabilities to find the nearest restaurant, as well as menus, news and offers. 
“We are delighted to announce the launch of our new app with a clear focus on rewarding our loyal customers,” said Giraffe co-founder Juliette Joffe. “We’ve tried to keep it as simple and concise as possible to appeal to a wider audience, whether they are popping in for a regular coffee or visiting us for a meal.”
