Glam Media Launches Ad Platform

Glam Media has launched GlamMobile – a mobile advertising, content, and social platform. The platform aims to get premium brands advertising on mobile through Glam Medias vertical social content platform.

Glam Media says it has the largest online global reach for women, and over 300m users globally – 90m in the US.

GlamMobile allows brand advertisers to engage with consumers across lifestyle verticals on mobile devices. The company has over 2,500 publishers organised across multiple vertical industry categories online including Glam.com for women, Glam Entertainment for Adults, Brash.com for Men and Bliss.com for health and wellness seekers.

The company has also announced GlamEnable, a platform that provides publishers with the ability to develop sites for the mobile web and create native applications for iOS and Android.

“Mobile is a powerful medium and the future of digital brand advertising is the ability to run deeply integrated and social campaigns across desktop and mobile,” says Samir Arora, Glam Media chairman and CEO. “With the introduction of GlamMobile, marketers can more effectively deliver super premium ads that are highly engaging to the right audience at the right time.”

GlamMobile follows the companys desktop advertising model, which presents curated content organised by lifestyle verticals such as style, food, and entertainment. GlamMobile will target ads to these verticals, as well as incorporating location, and device OS, says the company.

The company says GlamMobile will work across all major operating systems, including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and HP WebOS.

GlamEnable is an automated platform that allows content publishers to create optimised versions of their websites for any HTML 5 compatible web browser, as well as native applications for iOS and Android.

Glam Media sites including Glam.com, Bliss.com and Brash.com have already used GlamEnable to create optimised websites for mobile, resulting in higher levels of consumer engagement and new revenue opportunities, says Glam Media.
