GMobi Acquires MassiveImpact Mobile Ad Platform

GMobiTaipei-based mobile services provider GMobi has announced the acquisition of MassiveImpact, a mobile ad platform that reaches 1bn users in 190 countries, and specialises in social media promotion for mobile apps.

The acquisition aims to strengthen GMobis offering for app developers, providing them with a comprehensive ad platform that encompasses web, mobile and social channels. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

MassiveImpact has worked with tech, retail and gaming brands including Gameloft, Citibank, Tencent, Baidu and AIA in the past, and Gmobi is hoping the acquisition will complement its existing mobile tech services such as Firmware-over-the-Air updates, mobile payments and advertising.

MassiveImpacts solutions will be integrated with GMobis to create a new, all-inclusive mobile ad platform that utilises advanced ad conversion metrics to boost user discovery and enhance sales capabilities. Existing GMobi customers can look forward to improved value via optimised targeting, as well as improved content delivery and end user experiences.

“Were excited to revolutionise how brands connect with consumers,” said Paul Wu, founder and CEO of GMobi. “Combined, GMobi and MassiveImpacts technologies will transform mobile advertising experiences.”

“The acquisition will add our strength and experience with social platforms to GMobis existing marketing campaigns and put GMobi in a highly competitive position in the mobile advertising industry.”
