Go Outdoors sponsors Channel 5 Activities in first-of-its-kind partnership

Outdoor retail brand Go Outdoor has been named the official sponsor of Channel 5 Activities.

The new Activities feature, positioned alongside the C5 National Weather report produced by the Met Office, will offer viewers valuable insights into how weather conditions may impact their outdoor plans.

The Channel 5 Activities partnership will also include two five-second incidents per report, totalling 17 reports weekly, spanning four months.

This marks Go Outdoors as the inaugural brand in its category to sponsor such a feature, the company revealed.

The brand’s partnership statement, “Be ready to go outdoors,” aims to motivate and empower individuals to embrace outdoor adventures regardless of the weather.

As a result, the outdoor retail brand has pledged to assist customers in maximising their outdoor experiences, rain or shine.

Go Outdoors, Group Marketing Director Carly Czuba, added: “We are excited to tap into Channel 5’s audience and help many people and their families experience the great outdoors whatever our temperamental weather.”

Running Total, which brokered the partnership, Broadcast Director Charlotte Knope, added: “We’ve worked together with Sky Media and driven to bring Go Outdoors’ brand in front of captive eyes preparing for their daily activities. Weather is not only a favourite discussion point for many Brits, but a day-defining part of life.

This innovative partnership connects our love of knowing what weather is to come with Go Outdoors’ ability to help us prepare for it and enjoy the outside no matter what.”
