In preparation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, football website Goal.com and Handmark have announced the launch of the Goal.com mobile application for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Nokia (S60 5th edition). The app supports content in four languages and comes in eight different editions: International; English UK; English US; Spanish Spain; Spanish US; Spanish Latin America; French; and Italian.
The app delivers instant real-time access to all the latest breaking football news, including the 2010 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League and transfer activity. Handmark and Goal.com plan to release another update to the application in the coming weeks as well that will include additional features and functionality to support a premier mobile experience for tracking games during the World Cup.
The app updates automatically, even when not in use, to ensure that the user can access up-to-date information, which is available for offline reading. A My Feeds facility allows football fans to customize the content to keep track of their favourite leagues and clubs. 
The app is free and is available for download from the Handmark website or at http://m.goal.com/app on your mobile browser.
