Google Assistant gains over 50 games and activities for kids

Google HomeGoogle has added a host of activities, games and stories to its Assistant, so that the whole family can enjoy what the AI has to offer.

Activities available following the ‘Ok Google’ command include ‘Let’s learn’, ‘Let’s play a game’, ‘tell me story’, and around 50 others.

“Monday musical chairs? Tuesday night trivia? Friday family freeze dance? Your Assistant has activities to keep everyone entertained,” said Vicky Fang, user experience lead for Google Assistant for kids and families. “Talking to your Assistant is an easy way to be there, in the room, spending time with loved ones. So, whether youre at home on a rainy day or on a road trip, your Assistant can help you learn and have fun as a family.”

The activities are available in the US on Google Home, other smart speakers and eligible phones. Children under 13 are also able to have their own personalised Google Assistant accounts with their parent’s permission through Family Link, which helps parents manage their child’s Google Account.
