When it launched last November, Googles Nexus 4 handset was already competitively priced, starting at $299 for the 8GB model – but the price has now seen a major cut in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, Spain and Korea.
In the US, both versions of the Nexus have dropped by $100, bringing it to $199 for an 8GB handset or $249 for the 16GB – thats £159 and £199 in the UK.
The Moto X, Googles first true own-brand smartphone, is currently rolling out across US operators, which looks likely to be at least part of the reason behind the price cut.
