Google Offers Glass Upgrade for Testers

Google Glass ‘Explorers’ are being given the opportunity to swap their existing headset for a new one that will be compatible with upcoming sunglasses and prescription frames.

Google is also giving users an optional earbud, as well as offering its flagship bone-conduction audio, presumably to help when people are in a noisy area.

People who bought the device before 28 October will be able to swap it within 60 days of the option going live. They will also be able to choose a different coloured headset from the range of blue, black, red, brown and white. People can keep their original device subject to the one-year warranty from the original purchase date.

Explorers are now being encouraged to nominate three friends who are keen to buy and try Google Glass, in order the extend the testing programme.
