The number of apps downloaded from Google Play has reached the 25bn milestone.
Google announced it had hit the 20bn mark almost exactly two months ago – by our calculations, thats roughly 161m app downloads per day.
Google is running a 25-themed sale to celebrate the milestone, with apps priced at 25 cents and collections of 25 videos, books and albums. 
Apples App Store hit the 25bn milestone back in March – a reminder that while there might be more Android devices out there than iPhones, it still rules when it comes to the app market. For now, at least.
