Google has released version 4.1 of its Google Play Services SDK, which introduces full support for DoubleClick Ad Exchange, DoubleClick for Publishers and Search Ads for Mobile Apps.
The update also includes a publisher-provided location API to provide Google with the location when ads are requested. Google says the SDK will improve devices battery life when the Location Reporting function is enabled.
4.1 also brings support for turn-based multiplayer in games, Improvements to the Google+ sharing process, and a preliminary developer preview of the Google Drive API for Android, which enables apps to make changes to cloud-hosted files, even when offline.
