Google has revealed the top searches for 2015 – and the top result might come as a bit of a surprise.
The years most common search was for Lamar Odom, an ex-NBA basketball player who hit headlines in October when he was hospitalised after being found in a Nevada brothel and slipped into a coma.
Charlie Hebdo was in second place, following the attacks on the magazines offices at the beginning of the year, and in third was another potential surprise: Agar.io, an online multiplayer game released in April. You can see the full top 10 list of searches below.
The iPhone 6S topped the list of consumer tech searches, beating the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Apple Watch. South American football competition Copa América was Googles top sporting event, Adele the top musical artist, and Big Brother Brazil the top TV show.
The most searched-for film of 2015 was Jurassic World, followed by Furious 7 and American Sniper. Despite the amount of attention focused on the new Star Wars film – it was the years most talked-about movie on Facebook – the franchise failed to break the top 10.
