Google has updated its Calendar Android app, bringing its appearance in line with the desktop version.
Customisable calendar and event colours might sound like a small addition but, speaking as a rabid digital organiser, theyre a key feature of the update, helping separate different types of events, or highlight key ones.
The update also streamlines the UI for adding events, setting them to repeat, and changing timezones.
Google has also updated its Gmail iOS and Android apps, as part of a wider update that introduces tabs, splitting mail into categories including Primary, Updates, and Promotions.
The app now presents users with their Primary mail as soon as they open the app. This is an optional method of navigating the inbox, however, which can turned off by the user in the apps settings.
