Google Wallet is finally arriving for the mobile web. The Buy with Google Wallet button will now appear on participating sites. Users will just have to log in to their account to pay.
It is hoped that cutting the amount of information needed to make a purchase on a smartphone – which is now three steps with Google Wallet – will reduce the 97 per cent abandonment rate identified by MediaPost research. Across all devices, the rate is 72 per cent. 
Flowers.com, Rockport.com and FiveGuys.com have already signed up to provide the service.
