Gordons Selects Eagle Eye for Mobile Voucher Trial

Gordons Chemists, Northern Irelands largest independently-owned pharmacy and health and beauty chain, has partnered with Eagle Eye Solutions, which specializes in mobile voucher issue and redemption, to deliver its first mobile voucher trial to promote the opening of its new store in Lurgan, County Armagh. 
Gordons has been promoting the new store opening via ads in local newspapers, offering customers a 10%discount off their first purchase between the 26th and 28th of June. To claim the discount, customers text the word GORDONS to a shortcode to receive an SMS voucher containing a unique 8-digit code.
The Eagle Eye Solutions Mobile Voucher Redemption System (MVRS), which seamlessly integrates with any retailers EPOS till, makes redemption easy, the company says. The 8-digit code is simply punched into the check out terminal and the discount is taken off the customers bill.
Gordons Chemists is looking closely at mobile vouchers as a potential channel, not only for  driving footfall to stores, but also for increasing revenues. The success of this initial trial could result in the rollout of similar discount voucher and redemption services across all of its 56 stores.
