Harry Potter app launches first multiplayer event with Duelling Club

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, the mobile game from Jam City and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s Portkey Games, has rolled out its first ever multiplayer event, enabling players to put their spellcasting prowess to use against each other via Facebook Connect.

The game has enabled players to practice a variety of spell techniques as part of the gameplay, and in the first in a series of multiplayer, limited-time events, the ‘Duelling Club’ will allow them to test their skill against other players to earn in-game rewards. During the event, players will receive three tickets, each granting them an opportunity to participate in a duel. Opponents are randomly selected from other Facebook Connect users, with the defeated player forfeiting their ticket, while the winner retains theirs, and gains special rewards for each win.

“Players have had the chance to try their hand at duelling with none other than Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery nemesis, Merula Snyde,” said Amanda Heaton, executive producer at Jam City. “With our Duelling Club in-game event series, fans of the game will have the chance to be matched against players from all over the world.”

Additional limited-time Duelling Club events will take place in the game throughout the summer months.
