Hartenstein Heads New York Forum Speaker Line-up

The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has revealed details of speakers for the MMA Forum New York, which takes place at the Waldorf Astoria on 16 and 17 June, with pre-conference workshops and roundtables on 15 June.

Headlining the event is Eddy Hartenstein, co-president of the Tribune Company. Other speakers include Doug Busk, director of global customer experience and strategy at The Coca-Cola Company; Deepak Thomas, general manager of eBayClassifieds; Jeff Ryznar, director of strategic marketing at Cleveland Cavaliers; Russell Wallach, president of Live Nation; and Paul Lipson, director of digital marketing at Molson Coors Canada.

“We are honoured to have such renowned guests at this year’s MMA Forum,” says Michael Becker, managing director of N. America for the MMA. “This year’s speakers represent the leaders of the mobile marketing industry and display the global growth of mobile marketing. Mobile is clearly becoming an essential part of the overall marketing mix, and each speaker that has been selected will provide insight and expertise into the most important aspects of mobile today.”

The event also sees the debut of a new feature, The Pitch, and the return of the Mobile Experience Lab. The Pitch gives five companies five minutes each to demo their latest innovation on the MMA Forum stage and win over the audience, while the Mobile Experience Lab is an interactive way for delegates to experience mobile campaigns firsthand, and interact with brands that are using mobile as part of their integrated marketing strategy.

The pre-conference workshops and roundtables include an introductory mobile marketing educational workshop, and an afternoon workshop on mobile analytics and applications by Openwave. In addition, two roundtables will be held, one geared toward brands and retailers, sponsored by Poynt, and one sponsored by Adobe Omniture Business Unit, in partnership with the Newspaper Association of America and Tribune Company, which will focus on helping publishers embrace mobile.
