Hellotxt has launched version 2.3 of its social dashboard app, incorporating new interactive features and language options, writes Martin Conway.
The app enables iPhone and iPad users to organise and access separate accounts on more than 50 registered social networking and blog sites, including Facebook, Bebo, WordPress, Twitter and Flickr.
V2.3 features support for French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch speakers. Hellotxt claims that it took the decision to increase its scope of language options after observing that more than 62 per cent of Hellotxt users are located outside the US, and that the number of Dutch Hellotxt users alone has doubled since the beginning of 2010. The group also believes that the addition of Portuguese support should assist its efforts to further penetrate the booming Latin American market.
In addition, Hellotxt V2.3 includes a ‘Smart Reading Feed’ feature, which allows users to comment on and ‘like’ Facebook posts, and re-tweet Twitter updates, within one consolidated view. Users can also access the upgraded app’s ‘Doodle Your Facebook Friend’ feature, enabling them to add clip art and/or freehand drawings to profile pics before posting these to friends’ walls, regardless of whether or not these friends are using the app.
Hellotxt V2.3 can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or directly from the Hellotxt website.
