HipLogic Rolls Out Full Version of Spark

HipLogic has launched the full version of its real-time homescreen app, Spark, for Android and Nokia S60 and Symbian 3 handsets. The app is available for free download from the Spark website, or via Android Market or the Ovi Store.

Spark leverages HipLogics mobile technology platform to deliver a configurable and personalized homescreen experience to the user. Once downloaded, Spark replaces the homescreen and dynamically updates media and social streams in real-time, depending on the user’s preferences.

The full version of Spark includes expanded modules, better homescreen performance and integration with Twitter, Facebook, Sky News (UK and Ireland), AP News Content, Weatherbug, and Groupon. The integration means that can consume and share media content, without having to open multiple applications.

“Our integration with Spark means the latest Sky News headlines will be immediately accessible to consumers from their homescreens,” says David Gibbs, GM, Mobile at BSkyB. “Spark helps enhance the content discovery process on mobile by giving consumers instant and personalized access to content that is relevant and matters most to them.”

Spark is currently available in nine languages, including English, Russian, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Farsi, Chinese, and Portuguese.
