Home from Phone

Canadian firm RealtyText has launched a text-based service for real estate professionals/estate agents that provides home buyers with instant listings information on prospective properties.
Prospective buyers or renters send a 1-word code to a RealtyText number displayed on the For Sale sign. Within seconds, the buyer or renter receives a message back with a detailed description of the property, including the price, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage. The message also includes a link to a mobile website with additional details of the listing, including photos.
RealtyText says its mission is to become the leading provider of  Information on Demand services for agents, property managers and developers, with a focus on enhancing the marketing and sales campaigns for the Canadian real estate industry.
RealtyText helps realtors cater to their clients by making the home search process much more efficient, says RealtyText Managing Partner, George Haddad. People often drive by a neighbourhood and see a house they like for sale. Rather than waiting for a real estate agent to call back, people can text a specific code and receive information about the house instantly.
