UK retailer Homebase has teamed with Usablenet to create a fully transactional mobile site.
The site also features a store locator and stock checker, tap-to-zoom functionality, and a scrolling banner which pushes promotions and products to users without additional page loads.
“We recognised that a large number of our customers wanted to interact with the website whilst on the move,” said Andy McWilliams, head of multichannel for Homebase. “And we wanted to ensure that we delivered a solution which improved the mobile experience by making things quicker and easier to buy or research.”
