Hootsuite Updates for Cross-device Social Management

Social media management platform Hootsuite has unveiled a series of major updates to its Hootsuite Mobile app, aimed at providing users with a more seamless experience across iOS and Android devices, as well as enabling more fluid work between mobile and desktop devices.
Hootsuite Mobile is one of the most widely adopted social media management solutions, boasting 7.7m downloads across both Android and iOS apps, and 250,000 weekly active users who share 1m images per month.
“In todays digital world, every second counts,” said Penny Wilson, chief marketing officer for Hootsuite. “There is an expectation of immediacy when customers interact with brands on social. Hootsuite Mobile helps users keep up with social, whether theyre in their office or on the road.”
The updated apps include improved tools for brand awareness and audience engagement, which can capture and publish videos and photos to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as improved social media search and better collaboration tools for marketing teams.
“The Hootsuite dashboard helped us pull all the pieces together by coordinating messaging across departments,” said Juntae DeLane, digital brand manager for the University of Southern California. “We also used the mobile app to monitor social media activity any time.”
