HotUKDeals has launched Basket Buddy, a grocery deals app for iOS and Android. Spinning out of HotUKDeals.com – which, at over 550,000 members, is the largest social shopping site in the UK – the app enables users to share and vote on local grocery deals.
The location-based app displays nearby grocery stores around you and tapping into a store will show the hottest deals found in the store by other users. 
“Theres been a lot of innovation in the mobile shopping space,” says a HotUKDeals representative, “and I think this app sits on top of automated solutions like Red Laser to get beyond just price comparison and start enabling shoppers to find out what is actually a deal in a store, and not just what the store wants them to think are offers.”
