Huawei is reporting revenues of ¥220.2bn for 2012, an increase of eight per cent year-on-year.
The Chinese telcos year was much stronger than 2011, with net profits rising 33 per cent to ¥15.4bn, and its forecasting an even stronger 2013, with overall revenue projected to rise 10-12 per cent.
While a third of Huaweis revenue came from within China, where it is the fourth biggest smartphone manufacturer, 66 per cent came from outside the country – and the EMEA region in particular, which made up ¥77.4bn of its total revenues.
The OEM side of the business is still overshadowed by Huaweis infrastructure arm, which brought in 70 per cent of its revenue.
