Mobile developer and publisher Huuuge Games has announced plans to reduce its workforce by 29%, impacting 122 employees.
The majority of layoffs, 89 employees, are at its Polish studio, accounting for 21% of the branch’s workforce. The company expects the redundancies to be finalized by the end of February 2025.
Additionally, Huuuge Games is shutting down its operations in the Netherlands and Finland, with plans to discontinue new game development and focus solely on its social casino titles.
The company is also ending financial support for Bananaz Studios and will write down the value of its assets by $3.5 million.
“We deeply value the contributions of all our team members and are taking steps to support those affected through this transition,” said Huuuge CEO Wojciech Wronowski.
“While these decisions are never easy, they reflect a commitment to streamlining operations and accelerating our ability to innovate.”
