A few months ago, some pundits were speculating that Apple might sell 3m iPads in the first year. Well, it’s managed it in just 80 days.
“People are loving iPad as it becomes a part of their daily lives,” says Apple CEO, Steve Jobs. “We’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more people around the world, including those in nine more countries next month.” 
There are now more than 11,000 apps for the iPad. The device will also run almost all of the more than 225,000+ apps on the App Store, for the iPhone and iPod touch. The device comes in wi-fi-only and wi-fi/3G versions.
